Pierre-Yves Tschanz

Pierre-Yves Tschanz has been counsel of record in approximately 90 international arbitrations seated in Switzerland. In approximately half of them he was the lead counsel. 

In parallel to his activity as counsel, Mr Tschanz has been acting as an arbitrator in international arbitrations seated in New York, London, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna, The Hague, Sidney, Warsaw, Bucharest, Athens, Geneva, Zurich and Lugano. Among them, he has been the presiding arbitrator in more than 50 cases, sole arbitrator in over 25, and co-arbitrator in over 40. These cases included investment treaty arbitrations, six of which were ICSID disputes, and one was administered by the Permanent Court of Arbitration. 

Mr Tschanz also authored writings on international arbitration law, on which the Swiss Federal Supreme Court has relied in numerous cases.
